PEC SafeLand is available daily in the Houston classroom. This is a full day class leading to the PEC card. Initially a digital certificate is issued with a hard card to be mailed out later.
H2S Clear is a 4 hour H2S training course. A new PEC card is issued with the H2S clear endorsement. H2S retraining is required every year.

What do I need to take PEC SafeLand in Houston
We make it easy to take PEC SafeLand in Houston. Our daily class is conveniently located in the Houston NW classroom. Make sure to bring a driver license with you as proof of identity and be ready to learn for the full 8 hours.
SafeLand PEC is a safety training program designed primarily for workers in the oilfield such as drilling, frac, and truck drivers. The SafeLand training is a safety orientation which focuses on safety procedures, hazard recognition, and best practices in the oilfield.
What the SafeLand training standard curriculum covers:
General Safety Awareness: The importance of workplace safety and the responsibility of all workers to maintain a safe oilfield.
Hazard Communication: How to identify, evaluate, and communicate chemical hazards in the workplace. This includes understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and the Globally Harmonized System (GHS).
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): An overview of the proper use, maintenance, and care of PPE.
Fire Safety: Covers fire prevention techniques, the proper use of fire extinguishers, emergency response, and hot work.
Many other topics including the IOGP life saving rules are also covered..
PEC SafeLand training is often required by employers or regulatory bodies to ensure that oilfield workers have the necessary orientation to work safe. Upon successful completion of the training, participants receive a digital certification that is loaded within the veriforce database.
